  • Tanja Rueckert

    Dr. Tanja Rueckert

    President IoT & Digital Supply Chain, SAP Leonardo IoT, SAP SE

    Dr. Tanya Rueckert leads a newly formed Customer Innovation unit which, working in close collaboration with customers and partners, focuses on developing innovative software solutions particularly in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0. She reports to Bernd Leukert, SAP Executive Board, Head of Products and Innovation.

    Co-innovating with customers and partners to accelerate their digital transformation by bringing individualized, but scalable business solutions to market is at the core of Tanja’s organizational charter. Expanding the market reach of SAP’s innovation pipeline through globalization services complement her responsibilities.

    Tanja joined SAP in 1997, and has worked on many different customer implementation projects, held leadership roles in quality and program management and was the COO of HR and Products & Innovation board areas. She holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Wuerzburg and the University of Regensburg, Tanja splits her time between Silicon Valley and SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf Germany, and is a mother of two children.

    Senior Business Development Executive, IBM - Watson Internet of Things Business Unit

    Don O'Toole is Senior Business Development Executive in IBM's Watson Internet of Things business unit. Don has worked in a variety of executive roles in business development and product management over the past 25 years including positions with IBM's Websphere, Tivoli and Power product teams.

    He is currently responsible for developing technology partnerships and expanding the industry ecosystem supporting IBM’s Watson IoT strategy. This includes developing partnerships with independent software and hardware companies as well as working with industry standards bodies and consortia.

    Mr. O'Toole began his IBM career in software development as part of IBM's SNA team in Research Triangle Park, NC. He holds BS and MS degrees from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


  • Dr. Jacques Durand

    Dr. Jacques Durand

    Director of Standards and Engineering, Fujitsu North America, Inc.

    Jacques Durand has been a technical director at Fujitsu North America, Inc. for 12 years, where he works on software and middleware architectures and standards (OASIS, DMTF, WS-I, CEN, W3C, NIST, ISO/JTC1 SC38). Previously, he was director of development in a business process management (BPM) start-up company and before that, he was an R & D software engineer at US West. Dr. Durand started his career as an assistant professor in computer science in France, where he got a Ph.D. in logic programming and rule-based systems. He has more than 25 years of experience in software engineering, ranging from research software to commercial products.

    Dr. Durand has extensive experience in Standards Developing Organizations, including chairing the OASIS Technical Advisory Board and representing Fujitsu on the W3C Advisory Committee. Currently he is chair, editor and member of Working Groups in OASIS, DMTF and NIST, mostly in Cloud computing initiatives and standards. Dr. Durand has long-time experience in testing and participation in several test initiatives in US, Europe and Asia. He has chaired Web-Services-Interoperability test team; participated in the Global Interoperability Test Bed European project; supervised ETSI eBusiness plugtests; chaired OASIS test assertions group; developed test suites and tools for WS-I, OASIS, and organized, chaired or assisted testing events in Beijing and Japan.


  • Mr. K. Eric Harper

    Mr. K. Eric Harper

    Senior Principal Scientist, ABB

    K. Eric Harper is a senior principal scientist at ABB Corporate Research specializing in software architecture and sustainable technologies. Over the past nine years he has made significant contributions to the Industrial Internet, process automation, substation automation, and power electronics. Eric graduated from Virginia Tech and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in electric power engineering as part of the General Electric Advanced Course in Engineering (ABC), which provides training across the engineering disciplines for practical use of computer solutions and how to effectively communicate their results. Eric transferred to Westinghouse in their Power Generation division making substantial technical contributions for a service bureau dedicated to monitoring and diagnosing conditions in electric power plants. Since then Eric has had a variety of assignments over the past two decades as a hands-on project lead, development manager and software architect in distributed architecture, factory automation, business applications, middleware tools, server management, IT security, healthcare IT, software performance and scalability. Eric’s current work is to lead ABB’s architecture for industrial analytics. He recently served on the Steering Committee for the IEEE/IFIP Working Conference on Software Architecture (WICSA) and represents ABB at the Industrial Internet Consortium as Technology Working Group co-chair.


  • Robert Martin

    Senior Principal Engineer, Cyber Security Partnerships, The MITRE Corporation

    Bob Martin is a Senior Principal Engineer in Cyber Security Partnerships at MITRE. He has dedicated his career to solving some of the world's most difficult problems in systems and software engineering-including cybersecurity, application security and assurance, and establishing appropriate standards in these areas. He is actively contributing to or authoring 30 different standards within the ITU-T, ETSI, OMG, Open Group, and ISO on various aspects of cybersecurity and assurance. Bob's sponsor work spans across the seven Federal Funded Research and Development Centers that MITRE operates. Over the past 25 years Bob has utilized his expertise and experience in software quality and cybersecurity to help sponsors as well as to create and promote public international community initiatives such as SACM, SQAE, CVE, CAPEC, and CWE, which include large active vendor and research communities.

    Bob is a frequently requested speaker on security and quality issues pertaining to software-based technology systems and has published numerous articles and presentations in this area. Prior to joining MITRE, Bob started his career designing and installing manufacturing control systems in Area 2 of Kodak Park and performing software integration and porting projects for both RPI and General Electric. Bob holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in electrical engineering from RPI and an MBA from Babson College.


  • Karthik Suri

    Chief Operating Officer, Predix

    Karthik Suri is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Predix organization where he leads Strategy & Operations, Product Lifecycle & Program Delivery and Adoption & Engagement. He recently returned to GE in 2017 from PayPal where he led business planning and operations. Karthik's career started in the Technical Leadership Program at GE, where he spent the better part of a decade in different roles across multiple functions, businesses and geographies. Post GE, he worked at Barclays Global Investors in data, operations & technology. Following that he joined Yahoo! in the Open & Social group leading a variety of functions including business operations, program management, product delivery. and eventually led operations for Yahoo!™s Cloud Platform organization. He then joined eBay in the in the third party developer platform organization (x.com/Magento) to lead strategy, planning, PMO, Developer Community/Experience, website product & engineering, and Integration/Professional Services prior to moving to PayPal to lead technology strategy, planning, analytics and M&A for the $1B technology, cloud and platform organization.

    Karthik secured a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Chemistry from BITS, Pilani, India; a Masters in Industrial & Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University and a dual MBA from Columbia Business School and University of CA at Berkeley.

    Stan Schneider is CEO of Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things connectivity platform company. RTI is the largest embedded middleware vendor, with an extensive footprint in all areas of the Industrial Internet of Things, including Energy, Medical, Automotive, Transportation, Defense, and Industrial Control. RTI is an Industrial IoT (IIoT) leader, named the “Most influential company in the IIoT” by Appions and the “2016 IoT Emerging Company of the Year for the Enterprise Market” by Compass Intelligence.

    Stan serves on the Industrial Internet Consortium Steering Committee and chairs its testbed subcommittee. Stan also serves on the advisory boards for Smart Industry and IoT Solutions World Congress. Embedded Computing Design Magazine presented Stan the Top Embedded Innovator Award for 2015.

    Stan holds a BS and MS from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University.


  • Dirk Slama

    Mr. Dirk Slama

    Director of Business Development, Bosch Software Innovations

    Dirk Slama is Director of Business Development at Bosch Software Innovations (SI). Bosch SI is spearheading the Internet of Things (IoT) activities of Bosch, the global manufacturing and services group. Dirk has over 20 years experience in very large-scale distributed application projects and system integration, including SOA, BPM, M2M and most recently IoT. He is representing Bosch at the Industrial Internet Consortium and is active in the Industry 4.0 community. His international work experience includes projects for Lufthansa Systems, Boeing, AT&T, NTT DoCoMo, HBOS and others. Dirk is a frequent speaker at conferences, as well as co-author of four successful books, including "Enterprise IoT" (www.enterprise-iot.org). As Conference Chair of the Bosch ConnectedWorld, Dirk helps shaping the IoT strategy of Bosch. He holds an MBA from IMD Lausanne as well as a Diploma Degree in Computer Science from TU Berlin.

    Dr. Richard Soley

    Executive Director, Industrial Internet Consortium

    Dr. Richard Mark Soley is Executive Director of the Industrial Internet Consortium and is responsible for the vision and direction of the organization. In addition to this role, Dr. Soley is Chairman and CEO of the Object Management Group (OMG) – an international, nonprofit computer industry standards consortium -- and Executive Director of the Cloud Standards Customer Council – an end-user advocacy group.

    Previously, Dr. Soley was a cofounder and former Chairman/CEO of A. I. Architects, Inc., maker of the 386 HummingBoard and other PC and workstation hardware and software. Prior to that, he consulted for various technology companies and venture firms on matters pertaining to software investment opportunities. Dr. Soley has also consulted for IBM, Motorola, PictureTel, Texas Instruments, Gold Hill Computer and others. He began his professional life at Honeywell Computer Systems working on the Multics operating system.

    A native of Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A., Dr. Soley holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Mr. Wang Xuemin , joined in Huawei in 1995 , served as project manager of Huawei B-Type Circuit Switching product, Vice manager of Product Testing Department, Vice manager of General Technical Management Office,etc. Currently served as director of Standardization & Industry Dept, responsible for developing and implementing corporate standard and industry development strategy.

    Also, Mr. Wang was served as board member of several industry organizations include CCSA, IEC MSB, OMA etc, for the aim of building nice communication channels and relationships with customers, vendors, and partners in the multi-level standard and industry development environment.
